Luxsmile products are intended to be used only as described on the product page, packaging and directions supplied with the product.

Read all directions, ingredients and warnings before beginning treatment. Keep the packaging and instructions for reference during use.

Choosing an appropriate product

Luxsmile offers both peroxide-free PAP products and peroxide-based whitening products.

Peroxide-free PAP whitening products

  • Luxsmile PAP Colour Correcting Whitening Strips.
  • Luxsmile PAP LED Whitening Kit.
  • Luxsmile Teeth Whitening Strips — 28 Strips.

PAP stands for Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid, the whitening ingredient used in these products.

Peroxide-based whitening products

  • Luxsmile Precision Whitening Pen.
  • Luxsmile Teeth Whitening Pens — Duo Pack.
  • Luxsmile Rapid LED Whitening Kit.

A bundle containing a peroxide-based product should also be treated as a peroxide-based whitening routine.

Colour correction

The Luxsmile Purple Colour Corrector uses purple pigments to temporarily reduce the visible appearance of yellow tones. It is a cosmetic colour-correcting product rather than a bleaching treatment.

Brightening powder

The Luxsmile Weekly Teeth Brightening Powder is intended as a once-weekly addition to your regular oral-care routine.

Use only the amount and frequency stated in its directions. No fixed supply-duration claim is made because the number of uses will depend on the quantity applied.

Before using a whitening product

Do not use a Luxsmile whitening treatment if you are aged 17 or younger.

Teeth whitening is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Speak to a dental professional before whitening if you:

  • Have cavities, damaged teeth or unhealthy gums.
  • Experience significant tooth sensitivity.
  • Are undergoing dental treatment.
  • Have recently had oral surgery or another dental procedure.
  • Have crowns, fillings, veneers, dentures or implants and are concerned about colour matching.
  • Are uncertain whether whitening is suitable for you.

Whitening treatments affect natural teeth and may not change the colour of crowns, fillings, veneers, dentures or implants.

Safe use

  • Follow the directions supplied with the individual product.
  • Do not exceed the stated treatment time, quantity or frequency.
  • Do not use multiple whitening treatments simultaneously.
  • Do not swallow whitening gel, powder, colour corrector or strips.
  • Avoid unnecessary contact with the gums, lips, skin and eyes.
  • Wash your hands before and after applying a product.
  • Do not use a product if its packaging or hygiene seal is damaged.
  • Do not use a product after its stated expiry date.
  • Keep products out of the reach of children.
  • Never share a mouthpiece, applicator or opened oral-care product with another person.

LED mouthpieces

Use an LED mouthpiece only with the whitening product and directions supplied for that particular kit.

The Luxsmile PAP LED Whitening Kit contains a white rechargeable mouthpiece and a USB charging cable.

  • Inspect the mouthpiece and cable before use.
  • Do not use damaged electrical components.
  • Keep the charging connection dry.
  • Do not immerse the rechargeable electrical section in water.
  • Clean the mouthpiece according to the instructions supplied with the kit.
  • Allow it to dry completely before storing or charging.
  • Do not use one kit’s gel, mouthpiece or electrical accessories as a substitute for parts from a different kit unless specifically stated.

Possible sensitivity or irritation

Some people may experience temporary sensitivity, sore gums, throat irritation or white patches on the gums when whitening their teeth.

Stop using the product if you experience significant pain, persistent sensitivity, gum irritation, swelling or another unexpected reaction.

Rinse your mouth with water and seek advice from a dental or healthcare professional if symptoms concern you, persist or become worse.

If the product enters your eyes, rinse carefully with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation continues.

Storage

Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture.

Keep lids and caps securely closed and retain products in their original packaging. Always follow any additional storage instructions printed on the packaging.

Ingredients and allergies

Ingredient lists vary between products. Check the ingredients shown on the relevant product page and physical packaging before use.

Do not use a product if you know or suspect that you are allergic or sensitive to one of its ingredients.

If the physical packaging differs from information displayed online, stop and contact Luxsmile before use so that we can verify the current product.

Dental advice

At-home whitening products are not a substitute for dental care or treatment.

A dental professional can assess whether your teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening and advise whether a particular treatment is suitable for you.

Reporting a product concern

If a product arrives damaged, appears different from its description or causes an unexpected reaction, stop using it and contact us.
